The Boston Globe reports that former AIAA President (2001) Dennis J. Picard, “who led Raytheon through a series of acquisitions in the 1990s and helped turn it into the nation’s third-largest defense contractor, died in his Concord home Monday.” Picard “was 87 and had stepped down as Raytheon’s chairman in 1999.”
