NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is on such a precise trajectory toward its observation post that engineers now estimate its fuel supply could support operations for 22 years, twice the initial expectation. Ars Technica reports that Roman is “gliding toward its distant observation post on a pinpoint trajectory,” reducing the amount of fuel needed for course corrections and potentially extending the telescope’s operational life.
