Aerospace Testing International reports that BAE Systems and Bombardier have signed an agreement to explore collaboration on next-generation combat aircraft, including aircraft design, systems integration and advanced manufacturing. The partnership follows Canada’s decision to become the first observer nation in the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), which aims to develop a sixth-generation fighter by 2035. The agreement establishes a framework for “practical cooperation” as Canada expands its involvement in future combat aviation programs.
