Aviation Week reports that Shield AI has unveiled the first prototype of its X-Bat autonomous combat aircraft, with an initial flight planned before the end of 2026. The company showcased video of the “tail-sitting, vertical-takeoff-and-landing (VTOL) autonomous combat aircraft” at the International Fighter Conference in Munich on 3 November, ahead of flight testing near Wichita, Kansas.
