From building friendships with fellow Rising Stars to meeting astronauts and industry leaders, I felt supported, seen, and inspired throughout my entire time at SciTech. I met people who will forever be part of my life. Because of the Rising Star Program, I left SciTech feeling more confident, empowered, and certain that I belong in aerospace and in the science community. “… the AIAA Rising Stars in Aerospace Program was genuinely one of the most transformative experiences of my academic journey. … Attending SciTech through AIAA’s generous sponsorship … was a true affirmation of my place in this field. It was a powerful reminder that talent, passion, and impact are not defined by institutional pedigree, but by curiosity, dedication, and the courage to pursue opportunity. … The Rising Star Program does more than fund attendance, it cultivates a true sense of belonging. It intentionally creates space for students from underrepresented and nontraditional backgrounds to connect with leaders across industry, academia, and government. That investment changes lives. ”
