2023 IEEE Aerospace Conference

The International Conference for Aerospace Experts, Academics, Military Personnel, and Industry Leaders.

The international IEEE Aerospace Conference, with AIAA and PHM Society as technical cosponsors, is organized to promote interdisciplinary understanding of aerospace systems, their underlying science and technology, and their applications to government and commercial endeavors.

The annual, weeklong conference, is set in a stimulating and thought provoking environment. The 2023 conference will be the 44th.

33rd AAS/AIAA Space Flight Mechanics Meeting

The 33rd AAS/AIAA Space Flight Mechanics Meeting, hosted by the American Astronautical Society (AAS) and cohosted by American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) will be held 14–19 January, in Austin, Texas. The conference is organized by the AAS Space Flight Mechanics Committee and the AIAA Astrodynamics Technical Committee.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

The conference organizers have decided to hold the 33rd AAS/AIAA Space Flight Mechanics Meeting in person at The LINE Austin hotel in Austin, TX.

10th International Conference on Recent Advances in Air and Space Technologies (RAST2023)

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 10th International Conference on Recent Advances in Air and Space Technologies (RAST-2023). This event will be held 7–9 June 2023. The conference will be a face to face event in Istanbul, Turkey.

RAST-2023 is intended to be a forum for the exchange of recent research results and ideas in air and space technologies. It should be of interest to a wide range of participants from government agencies, relevant international institutions, universities, research organizations, air and space companies, as well as media and the general public. Presentations are encouraged from international space agencies as well as the private sector.

The San Gabriel Valley Section presents a webinar featuring guest speaker David Oberhettinger, the founder of Deep Space Engineering Technology, a firm that consults in the engineering of spaceflight systems destined for operation in deep space. He will discuss the design challenge of highly unique, high risk, missions of space exploration–where mission success requires what could be termed “Extreme” Engineering.

2023 Region II Student Conference

Registration Deadline: 28 February | Abstract Submissions Now Closed

Take part in AIAA’s Regional Student Conference by presenting your research in a formal technical meeting, exchange ideas, and discuss programs with students from other universities in your region.

Please note: A university student in good standing at their institution who is also an AIAA student member is eligible to submit a paper to the Regional Student Conference. The submitting and presenting author(s) must be AIAA student members. Any student may attend the Regional Student Conference but may be subjected to a higher registration fee if they are not AIAA members. You must be attending a college/university in Region II to participate in the Region II Student Conference.

Region II includes North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Additionally, it includes students from Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Cash prizes are awarded for first, second, and third place winners for each category. First-place regional winners are then invited to participate in the AIAA Foundation International Student Conference, held during the AIAA SciTech Forum each January.

Great Paper Airplane Contest

Hosted by the AIAA Greater Huntsville Section, in collaboration with the UAH AIAA Student Branch.

To celebrate Engineers’ Week, the AIAA Greater Huntsville Section, in collaboration with the UAH AIAA Student Branch, invites everyone to participate in the Great Paper Airplane Contest in the Conference Training Center Exhibit Hall at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. The event is open to both adults and kids of all ages. Attendees will build paper planes and compete in various categories like Aerobatics, Time of Flight, Distance, Accuracy, and an Artistic Category.
