USA Today reports that William Shatner, 90, will be the oldest man to fly in space when his flight on a Blue Origin New Shepard rocket lifts off later this week. The flight was scheduled for Tuesday, but was “delayed due to forecasted high winds at its launch site” in West Texas.

CNBC reports that Star Trek actor William Shatner “is scheduled to launch on the next crewed spaceflight of Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin.” The launch is scheduled for October 12, and Shatner is to be joined by Blue Origin Vice President of Mission and Flight Operations Audrey Powers, Planet Labs co-founder Chris Boshuizen, and Medidata co-founder Glen de Vries.
