2022 Regional Leadership Conference

his event, led by AIAA’s Regional Engagement Activities Division (READ), is an amazing opportunity to gain new tools and resources to help you succeed as an officer within AIAA’s regions, sections, and/or student branches. Additionally, you will be able to meet and connect with other officers from around the globe to share best practices and exchange ideas.

Please note we will be using the Zoom platform for these sessions and you must register separately for each day you are planning to attend.

Setting Your Section Up for Success

RLC will kick off with an overview of section roles and responsibilities, guidance on activities in a post-COVID world, and how sections fit into the evolution of AIAA. 2021 Region III/IV Student Conference

AIAA has announced that the 2021 Region III/IV Student Conference, set for 26–27 March 2021, has been combined and will be fully online. This conference is intended for AIAA Region III and Region IV students.

The AIAA Region III/IV Student Conference is a virtual technical and oral paper competition for undergraduate and graduate students of all majors! Hear from great speakers and connect with other like-minded students who share similar interests. Students have the chance to compete for cash prizes in a fun-filled two-day event. First-place winners will be offered a chance to compete in the 2022 International Student Conference, taking place in conjunction with the 2022 AIAA SciTech Forum, with flight, lodging, and most expenses paid.

This is a VIRTUAL EVENT via Zoom – Meeting links and conference booklet/program will be emailed to attendees before the conference starts. This conference is cohosted by the AIAA Student Branches at the University of Michigan and Oklahoma State University.

2021 Region V Student Conference

AIAA has announced that the 2021 Region V Student Conference, set for 2–3 April 2021 will be fully online. This event is cohosted by the University of Iowa AIAA Student Branch and the AIAA Iowa Professional Section. The conference is intended for AIAA Region V students from Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana. Also includes the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, and portions of Ontario.

The Region V Student Conference is a technical and oral paper competition for undergraduate and graduate students. It provides students a change to present their research to professional member judges who can provide feedback and compete for cash prizes. Additionally, this fun-filled two-day event provides students with an opportunity to network with their peers and professionals in the Aerospace industry.

2021 Region I Student Conference

AIAA has announced that the AIAA 2021 Region I Student Conference, set for 9–10 April 2021 and hosted by the Rutgers University AIAA Student Branch, will be fully online. This conference is intended for AIAA Region I Students from Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and Washington DC. *New for 2021* Region I also welcomes students from the Canadian provinces of Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland and Labrador.

2021 Regional Leadership Conference

The Regional Leadership Conference (RLC) is an annual event offering leaders in AIAA’s Regions and Sections and Student Branches to learn about resources, better understand their officer role, connect with peers, ask questions, and more. RLC 2021 will take place in three sessions over a three-week period using the REMO platform.

AIAA Mid-Atlantic Professional Section Young Professionals, Students, and Educators (YPSE) Conference

The AIAA Mid-Atlantic Professional Section will host its annual Young Professionals, Students, and Educators (YPSE) Conference from 3–4 February 2022. This conference is a virtual event that provides students, young professionals, and educators an opportunity to present technical 20-minute presentations in any area of interest to the aerospace community, as well as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion presentation for the conference DEI track. Awards will be given to exceptional technical presentations.

24th AIAA International Space Planes and Hypersonic Systems and Technologies Conference

The 24th AIAA International Space Planes and Hypersonic Systems and Technologies Conference, as a part of ASCEND 2021, provides a forum for discussion and exchange of information for attendees from across the globe about leading-edge research and development activities associated with space planes and hypersonic atmospheric flight vehicles and the technologies underpinning these capabilities. Presentations will be provided on national programs from North America, South America, Australia, Europe, and Asia and multiple opportunities for international collaboration will be discussed.
