Comprehensive End-User License
All versions of AIAA content are subject to this end-user license, to include accepted manuscript versions and other open access publications. Individual end-users of AIAA works are permitted to do the following for noncommercial research and education purposes, so long as citation and copyright information are not deleted or modified and the meaning of the work is not misrepresented:
- Download for personal use
- Reference, abstract, or summarize the work
- Share single copies with individuals upon request for personal use
- Share within private research groups
Except for the conditions noted here, personal copies cannot be systematically reproduced or further distributed by any means. Additional authorization is given to copy works beyond the free use permitted by U.S. Copyright Law so long as the per-copy fee is paid to the Copyright Clearance Center.
Third-party reuse of any published material requires permission from AIAA or other copyright owner. For permission to use material from AIAA copyrighted publications beyond that permitted here, see How to Request Permission to Reprint from AIAA.
Commercial users should ensure that they or their organization have been properly licensed by AIAA or by a third party (such as Copyright Clearance Center) to copy or share publications within their organization, including in research collaboration groups and for classroom use. Neither the work as a whole nor excerpts or adaptations may be used as part of a commercial product, promotion, or service or made available for sale in any way, without prior permission from the copyright owner.
