Six areas of space activity are supporting societal needs, as defined by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including earth observation, communication, positioning, microgravity research, technology transfer, and fundamental research. While progress has been made, barriers still remain that limit the application of space technology as a tool for advancing sustainable development. Hear how the Space Enabled Research Group works to increase the opportunities to design and apply space technology in support of the Sustainable Development Goals with societal leaders from around the world.
