Bloomberg News reports that China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings (CALC) is in talks with Airbus and The Boeing Company to “order as many as 200 planes as the state-backed lessor seeks to meet surging demand from Asian carriers.” The lessor is looking at both narrow-body and wide-body jets, according to CEO Mike Poon, and is considering the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 for short-haul flights, with the Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 under consideration for longer routes.
