Paul Eremenko Chief Technology Officer United Technologies Corporation
Paul Eremenko is Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of United Technologies Corp. In this role, Eremenko leads engineering and R&D for the company, including responsibility for UT Advanced Projects (UTAP) and UT Research (UTRC). Prior to UTC, Eremenko was the CTO of Airbus. He started his Airbus career as the founding CEO of Airbus’ Silicon Valley innovation center. Eremenko also held executive positions at Google and Motorola, where he conceived and led the development of ARA, an open modular smartphone hardware platform. Earlier, he headed DARPA’s (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) Tactical Technology Office and was a DARPA Program Manager for advanced manufacturing and several space programs. Eremenko earned a bachelor’s degree in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a master’s degree in aeronautics from the California Institute of Technology, and a juris doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center. He is a private pilot.
