Samantha Marnick Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer; President, Commercial Spirit AeroSystems
Sam Marnick is Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer; President, Commercial for Spirit AeroSystems. Her responsibilities include leading growth initiatives across a number of key markets that include strategy and M&A activity, supply chain management, fabrication, research and technology, aftermarket, and regional and business jets, among others.
Sam is functionally responsible for leading security operations, business writings, information assurance, trade compliance, public affairs, communications, community relations, diversity, ethics & compliance and board relations. This also includes corporate site services, such as facilities and tooling, environmental health and safety and sustainability, cyber security and IT, as well as enterprise risk management and Human Resources.
Prior to becoming COO, Sam has held a progression of leadership roles since joining Spirit shortly after the company’s creation in June 2005. Her prior roles at Spirit include executive vice president and chief administration officer and strategy, senior vice president and chief administration officer, senior vice president of Corporate Administration and Human Resources, vice president of Labor Relations & Workforce Strategies and director of Communications and Employee Engagement.
Before joining the company, Sam was a senior consultant and Principal for Mercer Human Resources Consulting, holding management positions in both the United Kingdom and in the United States. Her prior experience focused on research and change communication, working with U.S. and Pan European corporations on corporate infrastructure, leadership and development, compensation and benefits programs, mergers and acquisitions, and global corporate strategies.
Before embarking on a career in communication consulting, Marnick worked for Watson Wyatt, the U.K.’s Department of Health and Social Security, and The British Wool Marketing Board.
Marnick holds a master’s degree from the University of Salford in Corporate Communication Strategy and Management and is completing her MBA in International Business.
