Transformative Systems Engineering Demo

The Transformative Systems Engineering Task Force is using AIAA expertise to transform systems engineering to support DoD modernization and NASA programs, as well as wider government programs. It will advise how to develop a joint architecture; integrate with budgeting and aqcuisition processes; and accomplish in time needed given the peer competition and rapidly evolving market conditions. It is working closely with the Digital Engineering Integration Committee to drive forward Digital Engineering alongside government partners.

Quantum Space Announces Cislunar Mission

Space News reports that at AIAA’s 2022 ASCEND event, CTO of Quantum Space Ben Reed announced plans for the company’s first smallsat pathfinder mission which will collect situational awareness data. The QS-1 spacecraft is scheduled to launch in October 2024. Reed said of the cislunar mission, “We intend on demonstrating the ability to operate and navigate in cislunar space. We are going to be collecting space domain awareness and space situational awareness data.”
