Cancelled-AIAA Policy Breakfast (6 April 2020)

Nonmember$65
Members$50

Cancelled
The 6 April policy breakfast featuring NASA’s Doug Loverro has been cancelled.

This new initiative is designed to connect AIAA members and perspective members with government stakeholders and other thought leaders. The educational series will cover topical issues of relevance to the aerospace community and offers a great opportunity to network with key representatives from government, industry, and academia. All events will take place in the Washington, D.C., area, have limited access, and be considered “off the record.”

Our second event will feature Doug Loverro, Associate Administrator for NASA’s Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate. He will speak about the mission directorate’s FY2021 budget request, NASA’s exploration plans, and how the agency is going to achieve its goal of returning American astronauts to the moon by 2024.

A breakfast buffet will be offered during the check-in and networking portion of the program.

The Urgency to Act on Space Traffic Management

Our dynamic panel will explain the basics of STM and why it is so important for space safety, sustainability, and security. They will describe the steps we have already taken to implement STM and the most important missing elements that still need action. Most importantly, you will gain an understanding of why this is an urgent issue that needs action now, and, how such action will send a strong, responsible signal to the international aerospace community.
