AIAA is honoring the Stöllner Mountains, which were the site of Otto Lilienthal’s groundbreaking flight tests from 1894 to 1896, as a ‘Historic Aviation Site’. The tribute event will unveil the AIAA-Lilienthal memorial plaque on 24 May at the foot of the Stölln Gollenberg. Followed by a festive event at the Lilienthal-Centrum Stölln, Otto-Lilienthal-Str. 50, Gollenber.
