Unmanned Systems Technology reports, “Meteomatics, a weather intelligence company has collaborated with the U.S. Navy to trial automated weather drones, known as Meteodrones, for collecting atmospheric data vital in maritime operations. The trial, conducted as part of the Advanced Naval Technology Exercise (ANTX) near Gulfport in the Mississippi Sound, marks a significant step toward enhancing operational readiness and safety for naval missions.”

On December 12, 2025, the first photos of Valo were released showing a much sleeker and sharper unit from the VX4, Vertical’s workhorse eVTOL prototype.”

Aviation Week reports, “The U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, along with two partner operators, are set to install automatic ground collision avoidance systems in Boeing F/A-18 fleets—admitting that the technology could have prevented several fatal crashes. Both the legacy F/A-18 Hornet fleet in the U.S. Marine Corps and Royal Canadian Air Force and the F/A-18E/Fs and EA-18G Growlers in the U.S. Navy and Royal Australian Air Force passed major milestones in the process in November.”
