Gulfstream Aerospace Hits Record First-Quarter Jet Deliveries

Aviation International News reports,Gulfstream Aerospace saw its highest-ever first-quarter delivery total, with 38 business jets (31 large-cabin and seven super-midsize G280s) handed over, Danny Deep, president of parent General Dynamics, said this morning during an investor call. That compares with deliveries of 36 aircraft (30 large-cabin and six G280s) in the same period last year.”

Embraer Reports Record Q3 2025 Revenue, Backlog at $31.3B

Aerotime reports, “Embraer reported an all-time high third-quarter revenue of $2.0 billion in Q3 2025, up 18% year-on-year, driven by strong growth in its Commercial Aviation and Defense & Security segments. The Brazilian manufacturer delivered 62 aircraft during the quarter (20 commercial jets, 41 executive jets, and one KC-390 Millennium), marking a 5% year-on-year increase.”

Gulfstream Aerospace Hits Stride as Bizjet Sales, Deliveries Take Off

Aviation International News reports, “Gulfstream Aerospace found its groove in the third quarter as business jet sales and shipments climbed 56% and 39%, respectively, Phebe Novakovic—chairman and CEO of parent General Dynamics—said this morning during an investor call. “There was robust order momentum at Gulfstream in the quarter,” she said, noting a 1.3:1 book-to-bill that increased aerospace backlog to $20.6 billion, a nearly $1 billion quarter-over-quarter rise.”

Textron Unveils Newest CJ4 Upgrades

Flying Magazine reports, “Textron Aviation recently unveiled its latest new variant, the Cessna Citation CJ4 Gen 3, which dovetails nicely with the 15th anniversary of the service entry of the first of the CJ4 line. More than 450 CJ4s are currently in operation, according to Textron. The Gen 3 version is expected to enter service next year.”

Strong Growth Ahead for Business Aviation Per Honeywell Forecast

Flying Magazine reports, this week the annual Honeywell Global Business Aviation Outlook was released, “predicting strong and stable growth in the industry for the next five years. The forecast also predicts demand for 8,500 new business aircraft worth $280 billion during that period, up a little from earlier forecasts and prompting some manufacturers to ramp up production. At the same time, customer demand has leveled off, suggesting a more balanced market is taking hold, according to the survey.”

Gulfstream Aerospace Begins G400 Flight-test Program

Aviation International News reports, “Gulfstream has officially begun the flight test program for its G400, successfully completing its first flight on August 15. The large-cabin twinjet departed Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (KSAV) at 9:04 a.m. and returned just under three hours later having reached a top speed of Mach 0.85 and an altitude of 41,000 feet. The flight was conducted using the manufacturer’s supply of blended sustainable aviation fuel.”

FAA Requiring G500 and G600 Inspections Due to Engine-Mount ‘Quality Escape’

FlightGlobal reports, “The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has ordered inspections of the Gulfstream G500 and G600 fleet in response to a ‘quality escape’ involving improperly installed engine-mounting hardware. In a 7 June airworthiness directive, the agency says it identified issues with Gulfstream’s installation of engines on new production aircraft and with aftermarket engine installations.”

Gulfstream Delivers First Two G700s

Aviation International News reports, “Gulfstream Aerospace has delivered the first two $75 million G700s to customers, the Savannah, Georgia-based aircraft manufacturer said yesterday afternoon. Both are now in service with undisclosed customers in the U.S. The company’s 7,750-nm flagship aircraft received FAA approval on March 29, followed by production certification and cabin interior approval on April 8.”
