20th US Congress on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics

Welcome to the 20th U.S. National Congress of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. This conference is held every four years under the auspices of the U.S. National Committee on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (USNCTAM) to foster and promote the exchange of ideas and information among the various disciplines of the theoretical and applied mechanics community around the world, and to chart future priorities in mechanics related research, applications and education. The U.S. National Congress on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics is a premier conference for the theoretical and applied mechanics community. It is an excellent platform for scientists and engineers to come together for free exchange of information on all aspects of engineering science. We continue this tradition by promoting the development and strengthening of the interfaces between various disciplines in engineering, sciences, and mathematics.

CFD Validation Challenges: Perspectives from Modelers and Measurers

Booking is now open for the Royal Aeronautical Society’s Aerodynamics Workshop 2026, exploring ‘CFD Validation: Computational and Physical Simulation Perspectives’!

Taking place on 18–19 February in London and online, this two-day workshop will bring together the aerodynamics modelling and measurement communities to share knowledge, challenges, and approaches, fostering open discussion on how both disciplines can work together more effectively in the context of CFD validation.

The event aims to bridge the gap between aerodynamic computational and wind-tunnel testing practice, creating a collaborative forum for modellers and measurers to discuss the critical challenges of CFD validation.

Speakers from across the CFD and wind-tunnel test communities will highlight validation challenges and opportunities, while discussion panels will encourage shared learning and help identify common ground for future research.
