Forum 360: Diversity and Inclusion in Next-Generation Airspace

While we currently have well-established safe legacy models for airspace, that model won’t scale to all of the new operations. To achieve integrated airspace, we must overcome significant challenges, including enabling operations to share data using the cloud; partitioning the sky to have fair, efficient operations for new and old aircraft; expense; and regulations. Perhaps the largest challenges of all are community input, acceptance, and support. Join us as we examine the issues and solutions in next-generation airspace.

USC’s Student Rocketry Successs – Example of hands-on undergraduate training that provides students with experience-based engineering before graduation

USC has three major efforts to provide students hands on training before graduation in the Department of Astronautical Engineering. The hands on activities to augment the academic curriculum specifically in space systems before graduation, while challenging from resources and laboratory facilities, provides benefits to students and industry upon transition. USC will present one successful group, the Rocket Propulsion Laboratory that has been in existence for 15 years.
