Economic Times (IND) reported that the Federal Aviation Administration is warning airlines to limit the use of an anti-icing system on Boeing’s 737 MAX jets in dry air to avoid overheating engine-housing components which could cause them to break away from the plane, with the finding affecting CFM International LEAP-1B engines used on all versions of the aircraft.

NASA Still Working to Resolve Boeing Starliner Issues After 1st Crewed Test Flight
SPACE reports that Boeing’s Starliner had propulsion issues after launching on its first test mission with astronauts. Six weeks after the mission concluded, “NASA is still working on the issues that complicated the spacecraft’s first crewed test flight, agency officials said on Friday (Oct. 25).”

NTSB Releases Urgent Learjet Landing Gear Warning
Flying Magazine reports, “The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has issued an urgent recommendation for the owners and operators of certain Bombardier Learjets to check the security of the landing gear stemming from the preliminary investigation into the fatal runway excursion at Arizona’s Scottsdale Airport (KSDL) in February.”
