Grassroots Engagement

AIAA members regularly engage federal and state lawmakers to raise awareness of the long-term value that science, engineering, and technology bring to the nation.

Section Activities

AIAA members are encouraged to promote the Institute’s key issues and strive to be “everyday advocates” for the aerospace community. The best chance to meet directly with your member of Congress is while they are at home during a congressional recess. This is an opportune time for sections to establish valuable relationships and begin an ongoing dialogue to highlight our key issues and subjects of interest to the local aerospace community.

State Fact Sheets

AIAA has developed fact sheets highlighting key aerospace statistics and assets in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The documents are a useful reference tool for members when educating policymakers at the federal, state, and local levels.
