Cathy Bahm is the deputy project manager for the Low Boom Flight Demonstration (LBFD) project. Ms. Bahm manages the effort responsible for the design, build and test of the X-59 QueSST. She previously served as the acting Deputy Director for the Integrated Aviation Systems Program at NASA Headquarters supporting the Aeronautics Mission Directorate from 2011 through 2015.
Ms. Bahm has worked at NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) for over 25 years on a variety of projects including F-18 HARV, X-33, and X-38. She was the X-43A Deputy Chief Engineer for Flight 3 and Guidance, Navigation and Controls Lead for the second flight. Cathy supported the Orion Program as the AFRC Deputy Orion Abort Flight Test Project Manager and the Abort Flight Test Deputy Systems Engineering Integration Team Lead for Pad Abort 1 and Ascent Abort 2. Cathy Bahm received her B.S. and Masters in Engineering in aeronautical engineering from Texas A&M University.
