Forum 360: Sustainable Expansion in Cislunar and Beyond 24 August 2020 1500 - 1630
With Cis-Lunar on a nearer trajectory, there are innovations being developed in technology that will create a more sustainable presence. Additionally, Cis-lunar space was once the domain of government, but now commercial companies could be poised to take the lead. This is important to understand as more and more companies are making significant investments in technologies and infrastructure. This panel will pursue a further understanding of the larger role of commercial companies in Cis-lunar space and generate ideas for how to sustain this evolving scenario, the evolving role of government in this new era of expanded commercial capabilities, and will discuss some new technologies that might be applied to make sustainability viable. Hear from experts in launch vehicle propulsion, autonomous systems, electric propulsion, and the human integration of space exploration.
