The annual Huntsville Engineers' Week awards dinner returns in-person. Join us for this event at the Jackson Center, featuring a social, keynote speaker, and awards from multiple engineering organizations in our community. Our ticketing deadline is February 14th, 2023. Organization of this year's event is led by the AIAA Greater Huntsville Section. Partner organizations that will also be recognizing members include the Huntsville Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers Huntsville Section, Aerojet Rocketdyne, University of Alabama in Huntsville, and Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University.
Keynote Speaker
Dr. John Blevins is the Chief Engineer for NASA’s Space Launch System Program, managed at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. He helps direct the SLS Engineering efforts and oversees the SLS Chief Engineers Office. Prior to joining NASA in 1999, Dr. Blevins gained industry experience at Honda of America Manufacturing, and Sverdrup Technology Group (now Jacobs Engineering). He is both an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and a licensed Professional Engineer. He is also an experienced pilot with airline transport pilot and flight instructor ratings. Dr. Blevins earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University, and attained both a Master of Science Degree and a Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
